The Artist

My name is Rosalía Andrade Malo. I was born and raised in Cuenca Ecuador, a South American city located high in the captivating landscapes of the Andes mountains.

Cuenca, with its special urban center, is considered a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. The city's cultural influence and its population are reflected in my work and has been a source of constant inspiration.

Ecuador is a diverse land, rich in natural resources, fauna, flora, and its people. These provide an endless source of subjects for my works.

For more than a decade I lived in the United States, allowing me to experience other places as sources of inspiration. Continued travel to distant destinations across this beautiful earth never ceases to stimulate my imagination and the desire to take out a brush and attempt to freeze a moment.
