Hummingbird: A Poem

12 x 16 inches

Watercolor
This watercolor has a very personal story. My great-uncle, the poet César Andrade y Cordero, gave my father this unpublished poem one afternoon when he visited him. His description of this flying jewel is so beautiful that I wanted to create a composition that would help to understand this poem, as subtle and complex as the little bird that inspired it.
